TWO DAYS OF SPIRITUAL HEALTH, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND DISCIPLESHIP
Journey Conference, held on September 20–21, 2024, will focus on developing three areas of your life: spiritual health, leadership development, and making disciples who make disciples.
This will be an amazing time to be encouraged and challenged to go deeper and grow stronger!
In addition to our keynote speakers in our main sessions, there will be breakouts offered on Saturday afternoon for smaller, more intimate times of teaching and instruction on timely topics.
As an added bonus, we are offering a Saturday-only Kids Conference! Your K–5th graders will have the opportunity to experience a time of worship and messages designed specifically for them.
There will also be some pretty cool opportunities sprinkled throughout Conference that you don’t want to miss. We look forward to seeing you in September!
SPEAKERS
KEVIN & JOELENE TAYLOR
Kevin and Joelene Taylor began in ministry in 1981 as worship pastors and somehow along the way, God opened doors for them to be in leadership at Journey Church from 2006 until now. It has been the greatest joy of their ministry lives together.
They have three grown daughters, two sons-in-law, and five grandchildren. One of their favorite things to do is travel the world—Italy, in particular. However, they are not merely parents or grandparents or professional pastors. They are unbelievably passionate about seeing people walk toward Jesus, living out their callings as followers of Christ, and serving in their greatest areas of giftedness.
BRANDON CORMIER
Brandon Cormier has spent well over a decade in full-time ministry, serving in a variety of roles ranging from youth pastor to interim director. The Cormier family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to plant Zeal Church in 2020. In two years, the church has grown to over 1,300 people in weekly attendance and is a local expression of a multicultural and multiethnic church within the body of Christ.
Besides pastoring Zeal, Brandon is a sought-after communicator who travels to train, equip, and inspire fellow Christians and pastors. Brandon zealously articulates God’s Word in a transformational way that cuts to the core of his audience and pierces their heart.
However, Brandon’s highest priority is to his wife, Octavia, and their four children, Riyan, Norah, King, and Niyah.
JAKE WIRTH
Jake was born and raised in Germantown, WI. He graduated from UWM before starting a journey of ministry that spans three states: Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Ohio.
Over the course of twelve years of ministry, Jake has carried a diverse selection of roles and responsibilities, ranging from worship directing and songwriting to weekly communication and pastoral care. In 2016, Jake married his better half, Jacky and they have since then expanded their family by way of their son, Ezra.
Since 2021, Jake and Jacky have pastored MIX Church in Milwaukee, WI, an inspiring community dedicated to helping people meet Jesus and live the lives they’re designed to live.
JOSHUA HUMPA
Joshua Humpa is joining us as the 2024 Kids Conference Speaker!
Joshua is the Kids Pastor at Discover Church in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. He leads all aspects of the church’s Kids Ministries, including Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary areas. This includes large group gatherings, small group ministries, and Wednesday night Royal Rangers and Girls Ministries. Hired in May 2013, Joshua brings an electric energy to Discover Church’s kids’ areas.
He and his wife Stephanie have three children. A few of Pastor Joshua’s favorite things include food, Star Wars, Batman, Disney, all things comic books, and movies.

Our very own Journey Worship team will be leading us in worship during JRNY Conference!
Worship is not just about music, but it’s a lifestyle. It’s about giving our all to God and living our lives in a way that reflects His love and grace to others. The Journey Worship team is passionate about seeing people’s lives transformed by the power of God and believes that worship is a powerful tool that God uses to do just that.
