Baptism at the Lake

Join us for a special baptism event at Lake Andrea on Sunday, August 20!

Baptism is an outward demonstration of an inward change, and we want to celebrate those who are choosing to publicly declare their faith.

This is an all-campus event, giving us an opportunity to come together as a Journey Church family and celebrate those taking this important step in their faith.

Even if you’re not getting baptized, we encourage you to bring your lawn chairs and blankets, pack a picnic lunch or check out what the Harbor Market offers, and come be a part of Baptisms at the Lake! There will be activities for kids and youth students as well!

Baptisms will begin at 2pm. Please wear dark-colored clothes and bring a change of clothes and a towel.

Schedule of Events

• 10 am-12 pm—Pleasant Prairie Harbor Market (south end of Lake Andrea)
• 12 pm—Picnic Areas 3 and 4 open (between the Beer Garden and the Don Wruck Beach Pavilion)
• 1:30 pm—Baptism teaching (white pop-up tent)
• 2 pm—Baptisms begin

Parking

• Turn on your headlights upon arrival. Attendants will assist with parking.
• The North and South Ball Fields and Froggy’s Landing are designated parking areas for this event.
• Parallel parking along Park Drive is also available.
• You can drop your family off between the Beach Pavilion and Froggy’s Landing.
• A Journey shuttle will operate on a continuous round-trip basis from the North Ball Field to Picnic Sites 3 & 4 to the South Ball Field until 1:55 pm. Operations will resume after all candidates have been baptized.
