Journey Beach Park is entering an exciting new season as Pastor Jay and Sonia English launch Garden City Church. Our Beach Park campus final Sunday as a Journey Church campus will be June 21, but this is not a separation, it’s a sending. We celebrate all God has done through the Beach Park campus and are honored to support this new church plant as it continues serving and reaching the Beach Park community.

The Beach Park campus is transitioning to an independent church plant called Garden City Church, led by Pastors Jay and Sonia. This is a prayerful and intentional next step that Journey is supporting — Garden City Church is launching with Journey's blessing and partnership. The final Journey service at Beach Park will be June 21, and the first Garden City Church service will be June 28.

If you know and love Journey Church, we would warmly welcome you at our Kenosha or Mount Pleasant campuses. Our pastoral team would love to help you find your place. And if you feel called to be part of what God is doing through Garden City Church, Pastors Jay and Sonia would love to have that conversation with you. Either way, you are loved and supported.

No. This transition was already in process before the superintendent election and would have happened regardless of the outcome.

Because Beach Park is moving forward as Garden City Church, those team members may have the opportunity to continue serving in their roles at the new church.

Garden City Church is in the process of purchasing the building from Journey Church and will continue to meet at the same location.
